DAILY INCIDENTS FOR APRIL 6, 2007

Two Arrested for Drugs & TrespassingAt about 9:22pm, on Thursday, April 5, 2007, foot patrol officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress at 53 Norton Street. Prior to arrival, officers were informed that the suspects were inside a third floor apartment that had been vacated by the previous tenant days earlier. Upon entering the apartment, officers smelled a strong odor of fresh burnt marijuana. Officers then observed two males inside the location. When officers asked the suspects why they were inside the apartment, one of the suspects replied, \”I live here.\” The suspect also stated that he lived her with his mother, but she moved out a month ago. Terrance Eaton, 19, of Mattapan and Sheldon Aljoe, 20, of Dorchester were arrested and charged with Possession of Class D, Possession of Class D within a School Zone and Trespassing. Officers also recovered large bags of marijuana.
Operating After Suspension
Around 9:45pm, on Thursday, April 5, 2007, officers from the City Wide Bike Unit, while on patrol in the Washington Street/Talbot Avenue area, observed a motor vehicle with a broken left taillight. Officers then activated lights and sirens and performed a traffic stop at 697 Washington Street. When officers asked the operator for his drivers\’ license, the operator replied, \”My license is suspended.\” Officers were able to confirm a suspended license and an outstanding warrant. Michael Catron, 28, Mattapan was arrested and charged with Operating After Suspension.
Verbal Altercation Ends in Arrest
At about 9:40am, Friday, April 6, 2007, officers from District 6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a fight at W. Broadway Street and F Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated somebody threw bleach at him, and then, fled on foot. The victim further stated he was crossing W. Broadway Street on foot, when a motor vehicle almost struck him. The victim stated he yelled something at the vehicle and then the vehicle stopped. The victim went on to state that two males got out of the car and a verbal argument ensued. According to the victim, one of the suspects then reached into the car, pulled out a bottle of bleach and threw the bleach at him. Officers observed bleach stains all over the victim\’s sweatshirt. The victim stated both suspects fled on foot down F Street towards Old Colony Avenue. The second victim then told officers she was sitting in the drivers\’ seat when the first victim returned to her car. While both victims were seated inside the vehicle, one of the suspects approached the passenger side of the car and began kicking the door, causing the window to shatter. The victim sustained minor cuts from the broken glass but refused medical attention. A description of the suspects was then broadcast over the radio. Both suspects were located and positively identified by the victims. Michael Gaines, 19, of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Dangerous Weapon (bleach) and Willful Malicious Destruction of Property.
