At 3:12pm, today officers from District 18 (Hyde Park) responded to the area of Hyde Park Avenue and Cummins Highway for a report of a male wearing a brown trench coat and Red Sox hat making bomb threats over a payphone to an address on Canterbury Street. A similar phone call was also made yesterday around 3:06pm. Officers observed a male fitting that description at the bus stop at Hyde Park Avenue and Hadwin Way. Michael Sayers, 53, of Roslindale was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Shoplifting. Officers were unable to locate anyone who could identify Mr. Sayers as the person who made the threatening phone calls.
