Person Stabbed in RoxburyYesterday around 4:15pm, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 24 St. James Street. On arrival officers observed the victim being treated by EMS. The victim stated the stabbing occurred in Dudley Station, but was very uncooperative before being transported to Boston Medical Center. The victim sustained a stab wound to the back and shoulder. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Ruckus lands Picky Eater In Jail
Last night around 5:45pm, officers in district 2 responded to a radio call for a fight at 105 Lawrence Avenue. On arrival officers observed a large commotion in the middle of the street and immediately began separating the parties. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that she was hosting a children’s party and had informed all participants that the children attending shall eat first and then the adults will follow. The victim further stated that the suspect stated that she does not eat pork and became upset that there was no more chicken left. Officers learned that a physical altercation ensued between the victim and the suspect. A partygoer jumped in brandishing a knife at the victim. While speaking to the suspect’s officers learned that during the physical altercation, the victim punched the suspect in the mouth. Officers observed blood to the suspect’s mouth. While officers continued their investigation a verbal altercation began between the victim and suspect, at which time the suspect walked away from officers and approached the victim who was speaking to an officer and spit in his face. As a result Pershel Burns, 29, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery. Sonyanikia Wilcox, 23, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife). Officers did recover a knife from the suspect.
Man with revoked license refused to stop for police
At about 3:18 am on Monday, police on patrol in District 2 observed a car make a left turn onto Blue Hill Ave. from Warren St. in violation of a posted No Left Turn sign at the intersection. The officers activated the cruiser’s emergency signals and attempted to make a traffic stop. The vehicle pulled to the right briefly before driving away again. The officers followed the vehicle as it turned from Blue Hill Ave. onto Devon St. The vehicle stopped once more, allowing a female to exit from the passenger side. The vehicle then continued driving on Devon St. The officers continued to follow the vehicle onto Draper St. where the vehicle pulled into a house on that street. The officers immediately exited the cruiser and took control of the operator of the vehicle. He stated that he didn’t stop because he was afraid. The officers spoke with the vehicle’s owner, who lived at the location where the operator pulled in. The ensuing investigation revealed that the suspect had a revoked license. The female passenger who had exited the vehicle was subsequently stopped and questioned by officers, but stated that she did not know the suspect and that he was giving her a ride home, and she did not know why the suspect refused to stop for police. The suspect was issued a citation and will be summoned to court for Refusing to Stop for Police.
