APPREHENDED FOR BREAKING AND ENTERINGAt about 12:54 pm, officers from District B-2 responded to a radio call at 473 Dudley Street in Roxbury to meet a man whose rental property had been broken into. On arrival, officers spoke to the maintenance man of the property who told them that he went to check on a vacant apartment on the 3rd floor of the property after hearing noises coming from inside the dwelling. The maintenance man further told officers that when he approached the front door to the apartment, he noticed that the door had been shattered and the bolt lock missing. As he attempted to enter the apartment, the maintenance man said he heard voices and people running for the rear door. Upon hearing the noises, the maintenance man then ran down the front steps of the building with the hope of either catching or identifying one of the suspects. When he reached the ground floor, the maintenance man then followed one of the suspects into a nearby building. Officers entered the building and located an individual fitting the description provided by the maintenance man. The suspect, a 15 year old from Roxbury, was then brought outside where he was positively identified by the maintenance man. The suspect was arrested and charged with Daytime Breaking and Entering on a Dwelling.
APPREHENDED FOR CARRYING A SHOTGUN
On February 6, 2007, pursuant to an investigation, officers received information that a person would be in possession of a shotgun on today\’s date during the evening hours. At about 7:05pm, officers observed a black male, later identified as Henly Martinez-Morales, walking into a parking lot at 580 Blue Hill Avenue, carrying what appeared to be a large object underneath a black garbage bag. According to the officers, the object appeared to be consistent with the size and shape of a shotgun. Officers approached the suspect who then dropped the object and took off on foot into the back of 580 Blue Hill Avenue. After a short foot pursuit, a 12 Gauge shotgun was recovered. The suspect, Henly Martinez-Morales, 32, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Shotgun.

About 3:35pm, on February 6, 2007, plain-clothes officers from B-2 were waved over by a female standing all alone at the corner of Blue Hill Ave and Gaston Street. When the officers approached the woman, the woman told officers, “I’m trying to make some money.” To which, officers responded, “How are you gonna make money?” The female then stated, “I’ll blow you for $15.00.” At that point, officers exited their unmarked cruiser and placed the suspect under arrest. Gina Cervone, 43, of Dorchester was charged with Sex for a Fee.
STOLEN GPS SYSTEM STEERS VANDALS THE WRONG WAY
At about 12:44pm, on February 7, 2007, officers from D-4 responded to a radio call for vandalism in progress at 380 Shawmut Avenue. Caller told officers she observed two males break the window of a motor vehicle and, then, walk away. Officers observed the driver’s side window of the car in question to be smashed. Upon looking inside the car, officers saw the following: (1) a brick resting on the driver’s seat, (2) broken glass scattered throughout the motor vehicle, (3) a black-and-yellow screwdriver resting on the driver’s seat and (4) a missing GPS system. The caller was able to provide officers with a detailed description of both suspects. A short time later, officers observed two individuals fitting the description provided by the caller. While the suspects were being detained, the original caller was transported to the scene. Upon arrival, the caller was able to positively identify both suspects. Hector Luis Sanchez, 38, of Quincy, and Victor Burgos-Basco, 42, of Quincy, were arrested and charged with Larceny from a Motor Vehicle. Officers recovered the following from one of the suspects: a Magellan Road Mate 800 (a GPS system).
