Snow Aids Officers in Arrest of Two JuvenilesLast night around 9:29pm, officers in District 11 responded to a radio call for a robbery at 166 Sudan Street. On arrival officers spoke with the victim who stated that two black males one wearing a black stocking hat and a black bulky jacket robbed her of her pocket book. She stated the suspects punched her in the face, threw her to the ground and then kicked her in the face and leg. Both suspects fled down Sydney Street towards Harbor View Street. A description of the suspects was broadcasted and officers noticed a set of fresh footprints leading from the scene. These were the only sets of footprints on the ground in the fresh snow covered ground. Officers followed the fresh footprints to the driveway of 71 Harbor View Street, through the yard and over the fence in the rear of 60 Sudan Street. Officers continued to follow the footprints up to 41 Sudan Street. Officers knocked on the door and two young black males fitting the description answered the door. The victim positively identified both suspects. Two juveniles ages 14 and 15 of Dorchester were both arrested and charged with Assault and Battery, Assault and Battery Dangerous Weapon (Shod foot) and Unarmed Robbery. The victim refused medical attention.
Four Arrested For Trespassing
Early this morning around 1:54am, officers in District 1 while on patrol observed four individuals in the foyer of 285 Tremont Street. There have been numerous complaints by the residents about people smoking, drinking, urinating and sleeping in the foyer. One of the suspects stated to officers that they were in the foyer waiting for someone to bring them crack so they can smoke it. John Hawk, 44 of Boston; Darryl Noles, 42 of Dorchester; Corry Cornelius, 36, of Mattapan and Jennifer Robinson, 24 of Charlestown were all arrested and charged with Trespassing.
Breaking and Entering of Store
About 3:35am, officers in District 1 responded to a radio call for a front door broken at 24 Joy Street (Primos Convenience). On arrival officers observed forced entry to the front door. Officers conducted a search inside, but no one was found. Officers observed the area behind the cash register ransacked. Officers were unable to determine if anything was taken. The premise was secured.
Armed Robbery of Store 24
Last night around 8:23pm, officers in district 14 responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in progress at 957 Commonwealth Avenue. On arrival officers spoke with the clerk who stated that a black male, dark skin, clean-shaven, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt enter the store and began reading a magazine. The suspect walked towards the counter and attempted to purchase a pack of gum. At that point the suspect leaped over the counter, pulled out a knife and demanded money. The suspect struck the clerk numerous times in the head with a pricing gun. The suspect threw the clerk to the floor and kicked him in the head and body numerous times. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
