Two Arrested after Armed Robbery of Grocery StoreYesterday around 1:24pm, officers in District 3 responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in progress at 118 Norfolk Street. On arrival officers spoke with the victim who stated while working behind the counter a black male entered the store with a firearm in his hand. The victim stated that the suspect pointed the firearm at him while walking behind the counter to the cash register. While standing next to the cash register the suspect demanded money and snatched the cash from the victims hand. The victim grabbed the firearm from the suspect’s hand and a struggle ensued. During the struggle the firearm broke and the victim realized that the firearm was a replica gun. At that time the suspect fled on foot down Peacevale Road. The second victim observed the suspect enter the store with a firearm and demanded money. At that time the second victim walked outside to call 911. The second victim observed the suspect run down Peacevale Road and enter a green vehicle. Officers located a green vehicle that fit the description traveling on Blue Hill Avenue. The victim’s positively identified the suspects.
Lawrence Ewing, 49, of Dorchester was charged with Armed Robbery. Also arrested was Donnie Renrick, 21 of Dorchester and charged with Possession of Class B and Possession with intent to Distribute Class D. Officers did recover drugs from the suspect.
Four Juveniles and Four Adults Arrested for Breaking and Entering in Dorchester
Last night around 6:20pm, officers in District 3 responded to a radio call for several kids in the hall smoking pot at 31 Ames Way. On arrival officers observed a metal door with a wooden panel secured to the door. The panel appeared to be pushed in causing the wood to splinter and the metal framing to fold back and away from the door. Officers detected a strong odor of freshly burnt marijuana coming from the area of the basement. As officers cleared the hallway they observed two black males run from the basement and out the rear exit. The police quickly apprehended the two suspects. As other officers arrived on scene four other males exited the basement. Officers discovered two other suspects that were hiding in an unlit room. Two juvenile females ages 16 and 15 both of Dorchester were arrested and charged with Unarmed Breaking and Entering and Possession of Class D. Two 15 year-old juvenile males were arrested and charged with Trespassing and Breaking and Entering. Eddie Daniels, 19 of Roxbury, Antwoin Fields, 27 of Dorchester and Antwaun Mair, 18, of Dorchester were arrested and charged with Unarmed Breaking and Entering and Trespassing. Also Arrested was 19 year-old Devin Mair of Dorchester and charged with Breaking and Entering and Trespassing.
