SEASON’S GREETINGS!Pickpocket Arrested
Officers from District 1, yesterday around 1:563am, arrested suspect, Keith M. Waddie, 46, of Boston and charged him Larceny from a Person.
Officers responded to a call for a robbery at the Loews Theater located at 2 Avery St. in Boston. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim and a witness who reported that the victim’s bag was stolen and that the suspect was still in the building. Officers searched the building and soon located a man matching the suspect’s description stuffing something down his pants. Officers stopped this individual and recovered the victim’s red wallet which was still protruding from the suspect’s waistband. Officers were unable to locate the bag but the wallet was returned to the victim.
B&E Suspect Arrested in Dark Basement
Around 2:30am yesterday, officers from District 11 responded to a radio call for an alarm call at 10 Saco St. in Dorchester. On arrival, officers met with the caller who directed them to the basement area of the premise. There, officers confronted the suspect who turned off the lights and attempted to flee. Officers successfully cornered the suspect in the basement area and placed him under arrest. After arresting the suspect, officers searched the basement and located a number of stolen items and burglarious tools. In addition officers also discovered several other storage areas that had been forced open. Suspect, Keeta R. Peete, 33, of Boston was arrested and charged with Possession of Burglarious Tools, 2 counts of Receiving Stolen Property, and 4 counts of Breaking and Entering.
Suspect Checks Out of Westin Hotel to a Prison Cell
This morning at approximately 12:33am, officers from District 6, responded to a radio call for an individual using a stolen credit card at the Westin Hotel located at 425 Summer St. On arrival, officers learned that the hotel had received information from a credit card being used by a hotel guest had been reported stolen. Officers learned that the hotel guest had checked in on 12/23/06 and had accrued a bill of almost $1,900. on the reported credit card. The credit card owner was notified and reported that the suspect is known to her but that she had not given him permission to use her card, and that he must have stolen it while he was staying at her house. Officers went to the room and placed suspect, Donald F. Dwelley, 25, of Hingham, under arrest charging him with Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. Suspect was subsequently found to have an outstanding warrant for Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of Chemical Mace without an F.I.D.
