Merry ChristmasBank Window Smashed
Yesterday around 2:22am, officers in District 1 responded to a radio call for a broken window at 31 Beach Street (Sovereign Bank). On arrival officers were informed that the side window to the bank was smashed open. Uncertain whether any suspect had been inside, officers requested for a canine unit to assist. Officers conducted a search of the bank with negative results. Officers noticed that a gate was propped open, but were unable to determine whether anything was taken. Officers did not recover any type of object that could have been used to break the window. The Bank was secured.
Shoplifters Arrested with Over $1000.00 in DVD’s
Yesterday around 2:00pm, officers in District 11 responded to a radio call for assistance at 545 Freeport Street. On arrival officers observed loss prevention officers attempting to detain a shoplifting suspect. Officers observed a 73-year-old elderly female lying on the floor crying. The victim stated that she was pushed down by one of the suspects as she entered the building. The victim was transported to an area hospital. Brian Sanchez, 25, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Larceny Over $250, Assault and Battery on an Elderly Person and Resisting Arrest. Mr. Sanchez also had and outstanding warrant for Possession of a Hypodermic Needle. Also arrested was William Dodd, 34, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Larceny Over $250 and also had an outstanding warrant for Shoplifting.
Food Delivery Man Robbed at Gunpoint
Last night around 6:34pm, officers in District 3 responded to a radio for an armed robbery at 82 Fowler Street. The victim stated when he pulled up to the address he was approached by four females with masks and one with a gun. The victim went on to state that the suspects took his wallet and one suspect fled in the victim’s motor vehicle. The other suspects fled on foot in different directions. The victim was unable to give a description of the suspect’s.
Three Males Shot in South Boston
Last night around 11:50pm, officers in District 6 responded to a radio call for a person shot at 10 Logan Way. On arrival officers located Boston EMS working on one of the victim’s inside the hallway on the floor landing suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The second victim was located on the second floor landing suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The third victim was located at Brigham and Women’s Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. Two victims were transported to Boston Medical Center in critical condition and are expected to survive.
Person Shot Outside Blue Wave at 335 Congress Street
This morning around 2:44am, officers in District 6 responded to Boston Medical Center on a report of a shooting victim. Officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim stated he observed an argument between unknown males and shortly thereafter shots were fired. The victim stated he was shot and was driven to the hospital. The victim is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
