Victim Robbed of Wallet and IPod in East BostonYesterday around 3:23pm, officers in District 7 responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress at 1035 Saratoga Street. On arrival officers spoke with the victim who stated that while walking along Boardman Street five to six males approached him. The victim stated the suspect surrounded him and took his wallet and an Ipod. The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.
Suspect Arrested after Assaulting a Police Officer
While on patrol this morning around 2:25am, officers in District 3 observed a black motor vehicle with stolen plates. The suspect parked the vehicle and got out of the car and proceeded to walk down Greenwood Street. When officers stopped to speak with the suspect he fled on foot into the backyards and jumped over several fences. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect in the rear of 108 Greenwood Street. The suspect pushed officers several times, refusing to obey the officers’ commands to stop resisting. Miguel Bretto, 44, of Marshfield was arrested and charged with Operating After Suspension, Resisting Arrest, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, receiving Stolen Property and Attaching Plates
