Confirmed Shooting at Harvard and Spencer StreetLast night around 6:04pm, officers in District 3 responded to a radio call for shots fired at Harvard and Spencer Streets. On arrival officers searched the area for a victim and ballistic evidence. Officers received a second call that the victim was located at Washington Street and Talbot Avenue. Officers located a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The victim’s condition is serious but he is expected to survive.
Suspect Arrested After Armed Robbery
Last night around 9:02pm, officers in District 3 responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 40 Kingsdale Street. On arrival officers spoke with the victim who stated that three black males tried to rob him at gunpoint. The suspects fled without any property from the victim. One suspect fled next door into 32 Kingsdale Street and the other two suspects fled towards Harvard Street. Officers secured the building and knocked on several doors but no one answered. Charles Taylor, 35, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Armed Assault with Intent to Rob and Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon.
Person Shot on Dabney Street
Last night around 11:58pm, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for a person shot at 72 Dabney Street. On arrival officers located a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and is being treated for a non-life threatening injury. The victim is in stable condition. Officers did recover ballistic evidence at the scene.
Breaking and Entering on Newbury Street
This morning around 1:43am, officers in District 4 responded to a radio call for a commercial alarm at 134 Newbury Street (Barbour). On arrival officers were informed that an unknown white male threw a brick through the front door glass causing it to shatter. The suspect entered the store and ran out carrying several coats. Officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him.
