Disorderly Suspect Assaults Several Officers While Under ArrestAbout 11:52am yesterday officers from District 1 responded to Chatham St. and State St. to assist a detail officer with a disorderly person. There, officers observed the suspect yelling, and demanding to be allowed in the bar despite being told that the bar was closed. The suspect continued yelling, causing a large group to gather. The suspect, after being prompted by officers numerous times to leave the area, was placed under arrest when he approached officers in an aggressive manner. The suspect after being placed under arrest became even more combative, kicking several officers. The suspect was transported to the District station, and continued to be so aggressive and combative that he could not be booked. The suspect, Garry Endna, 26, of Newton will arraigned today on charges of Disorderly Conduct, 3 counts of Assault and Battery on a Police Officer at the Boston Municipal Court.
Stabbing Victim Transported to Hospital in Critical Condition
This morning at 2:55am, officers from District 2 responded to 174 Dudley Street for a person stabbed. On arrival, the victim was located suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center in critical condition. The suspect(s) remains at large.
Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Causes Severe Damage to Store Front
Officers from District 2, this morning around 3:59am, responded to a motor vehicle accident at 750 Dudley Street. On arrival officers observed an unoccupied motor vehicle had crashed through the storefront. Officers located a witness who reported seeing two suspects running from the scene shortly after the crash. Officers found the keys in the ignition and further investigation of the registration revealed that the car was a rental. This incident is being further investigated by district detectives.
