Waiter Catches Suspect Stealing PurseThis morning around 12:27am, officers in District 1 responded to a radio call for a male suspect being detained by hotel security at 64 Park Plaza (Park Plaza Hotel). On arrival officers spoke with the victim, who stated she was in the swans court lounge at the Park Plaza. The victim went on to state that a waiter observed a male suspect pick up the victim’s purse from the floor next to her seat and then dropped it after the waiter observed his actions. The victim checked her purse and discovered that her camera was missing. The waiter observed the suspect head to the other side of the bar and sit down on the couch. The waiter confronted the suspect and observed a black strap coming from under a cushion. Patrick Sebring, 37, of Boston was arrested and charged with Larceny Over $250.
Six Arrested After Armed Robbery
This morning around 3:55am, officers in District 14 responded to 72 Gardner Street on a report of a robbery. The victim stated he was jumped and five black males stole his credit cards at knifepoint. Officers observed five to six males walk into the store at the Hess Gas Station a short distance from Gardner Street. The victim went on to state that one of the suspects punched him in the head and the other suspect joined in punching and kicking him. The victim stated he fell to the ground and one of the suspects took his credit cards. Officers found the victim’s stolen property on a shelf inside the store where officers had observed the suspects. Officers observed swelling and redness around the victim’s eye and mouth, the victim refused medical attention. The victim positively identified the suspects. Christopher Krobo, 18 and Jeffrey Anitus, 17, both of Newton were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon. A 16-year-old juvenile from Dorchester, a 16, and two 15 year old from Newton were also arrested and charged with Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon.
Confirmed Shooting in South Boston
At 12:21pm, officers in District 6 responded to a radio call for a person shot at 259 Dorchester Street. On arrival officers located a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the wrist. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and treated for a non-life threatening injury.
