Parent Arrested at Boston Public School for Assault and Disorderly ConductYesterday around 3:45pm officers responded to 270 Columbia Rd/Frederick Middle School for an unruly parent. There, officers learned that a parent had become unruly, and assaulted school police officers. Boston School police officers attempting to break up a group of students about to fight were confronted by the suspect who accused them of harassing her children. Officers made several efforts to explain to the suspect the circumstances but she increased her verbal assault in front of the school. After being prompted many times to leave the school, the suspect approached officers and attempted to assault them. The suspect was placed under arrest and she continued to behave erratically by kicking officers as they escorted her to the cruiser. Suspect, Beverly Sostre, 30, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Threats and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot).
Trick or Treat
Officers from District 14, this morning around 1:34am, on patrol in the Harvard Ave. and Brighton Ave. observed an individual dressed in a police officer uniform drinking from a red cup. Officers cognizant of the problem with student, underage drinking conducted an investigation of this individual. Officers learned that the individual dressed in the police uniform was indeed drinking alcohol from the cup, and was not of the legal age to possess alcohol. The suspect, 20, of Boston, was arrested and charged with being a Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
Three Arrested for Stabbing Incident
Today around 12:51am officers from District 4 responded to 911 Boylston St. for a person stabbed. On arrival, officers located the victim suffering from a stab wound with the knife still protruding from victim’s abdomen. Officers received a description of one of three suspects and shortly thereafter located that suspect. Two other suspects were identified as having taken part in the assault and eventual stabbing of the victim and they were placed under arrest. Numerous witnesses positively identified the suspects. Per witnesses, the suspects assaulted the victim, by punching, kicking and stabbing him with a knife. The suspects were all placed under arrest. Suspect, Jose Ramos, 31, of Framingham, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault and Battery, and 2 counts of Assault Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Knife and Beer Bottle). Suspect, Mendez, Fernando Mendez, 20, of Framingham, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery, and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot). The third suspect, Jermaine White, 26, of Roxbury, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot).
The victim was transported to the Brigham and Women’s Hospital by EMS in serious but non-life threatening condition.
