I would like to acknowledge the members of the Boston Police Department who attended the wake and funeral services of Manchester, NH Police Officer Michael L. Briggs, who was killed in the line of duty last week.An impressive contingent of Boston Police personnel traveled to New Hampshire to pay tribute to Officer Briggs and to convey our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
Our members represented the BPD in its finest tradition. I was very proud of the BPD showing, their professionalism and camaraderie during the most difficult time any law enforcement agency faces.
I know that the members of the Manchester Police Department truly appreciated the presence and support of their brethren from the Boston Police Department.
