Breaking and Entering in BrightonYesterday around 5:25pm, officers in District 14 responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress at 197 Kelton Street. On arrival officers spoke with victim who stated she heard someone opening her rear living room window. The victim stated when she went to the living she observed her window open and a black male attempting to gain access through the window. The victim stated the suspect fled down Allston Street. Officers search of the area for suspect to no avail.
Armed Robbery
Last night around 7:31pm, officers in District 13 responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 50 Bickford Street. On arrival officers spoke with the victim who stated that she walked home from the grocery store and did not notice anyone behind her. The victim stated that she opened the main door and locked it. The victim went on to state that when she reached the fourth floor she was pushed from behind into the wall, when an unknown person put a knife to her neck and demanded money. The victim stated she gave the suspect fourteen dollars and he fled down the stairs in an unknown direction.
Man Arrested for Assault and Battery
Around 7:44pm, officers in District 1 observed a suspect in front of the 7-11 store punching a victim in the face. The suspect fled on foot down Milk Street where police apprehended him. The victim was bleeding from cheek, mouth and forehead. Kevin Long, 25, of Weymouth was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery. Mr. Long also had three outstanding warrants for Trespassing, Larceny and Assault and Battery.
Armed Robbery Of Food Delivery Man
This morning around 12:05am, a victim flagged down officers in District 3 at the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Talbot Avenue. He was making a food delivery to 74 Nightingale Street when three black males come out with a gun. The victim was struck on the head with gun and robbed of his motor vehicle, wallet, cash, laptop computer and cell phone. The victim was transported to Carney Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
