Armed Robbery Suspect ApprehendedOfficers from District 2 responded to the corner of Columbia Rd. and Dudley St. yesterday at approximately 9:40pm for an armed robbery. On arrival, officers located the victim who reported that she was robbed outside the Citizen’s Bank. Victim stated that the suspect approached her as she exited the bank and demanded her wallet. The suspect then took the money out of her wallet, shoved her and motioned to his waistband as if armed with a gun prior to fleeing the scene.
Officers broadcast a description of the suspect and a short while later State troopers located an individual matching suspect description in the same area. The individual was detained and positively identified by the victim. The suspect, Troy Dates, 35, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery.
Three Victims Stabbed Overnight
Yesterday around 10:30pm, officers from District 2 responded to 454 Blue Hill Ave./A&K Oasis Clothing in Roxbury for a report of a person stabbed. Officers spoke to witnesses who reported that the suspect came to the door of the store and was being greeted by the victim when the suspect suddenly started stabbing the victim in various parts of his body. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and the suspect remains at large.
At approximately 1:00am this morning, officers from District 1 responded to the New England Medical Center for a report of a walk-in stab victim. There, officers spoke to the victim who stated that he was walking in the area of Charles St. and Boylston St. when a SUV pulled up beside him. According to the victim, one of the occupants exited the car after asking him what he was looking at and a fight ensued. During the fight one of the other occupants of the car exited the car and stabbed him. The suspects fled and the victim self applied to the hospital.
Today at 1:25am officers from District 18 were dispatched to Milton Hospital for a report of a person stabbed. On arrival officers spoke to the victim who reported that he was walking on River St near Central Ave. when two suspects approached him and demanded all his money. Victim stated that he told the suspects that he would give them all his money but they nevertheless attempted to stab him. Victim reported fighting off the suspects for a short while before they slashed him across the stomach. The suspects then fled the area and passersby drove the victim to the hospital.
