BPD Seeking Public Assistance Identifying Vehicle InvolvedYesterday at approximately 5:16pm, Boston Police received numerous calls for assaults and vandalism that occurred in the areas of West Roxbury, Roslindale and Jamaica Plain that involved suspects firing a BB gun at victims and their cars or houses. All victims were treated and released from local hospitals with minor injuries.
In four of the incidents, the suspect vehicle was described as a blue/green mini-van and in two of the incidents the suspect vehicle was described as a beige mini-van.
Anyone with information that could assist us in identifying this vehicle or the occupants is encouraged to contact the Boston Police Crime Stoppers Unit at 1-800-494-TIPS. For those wishing to remain anonymous, identity of caller will be protected.
Event Descriptions:
· 5:16pm, 31 Whitford Street (E5), officers responded to a radio call for shots fired. On arrival, officers observed a vehicle with a shattered rear driver’s side window.
· 5:55pm, 120 Poplar Street (E5), officers responded to a radio call for a victim of a BB gun attack. The victim sustained a small bruise to the check.
· 6:15pm, 5300 Washington Street (E5), officers responded to a radio call for shots fired. On arrival officers observed a large glass panel shattered.
· 6:30pm, 5100 Washington Street (E5), the victim was shot multiple times self-applied to Hospital
· 6:40pm, 58 Deforest Street (E18), officers responded to a radio call for a person shot with a BB gun. The victim was grazed in the neck and sustained a small abrasion.
· 6:45pm, Boylston and Lamartine (E13), officers responded to Faulkner Hospital for a person shot with a BB gun. The victim was struck in the arm and back.
· 7:00pm, 13 Edge Hill Street (E13), officers responded to a radio call for a person shot. The victim was shot in the back.
· 7:30pm, 126 Day Street (E13), officers responded to a radio call for a person shot with a BB gun. The victim sustained a small laceration to the back.
