Shoplifting Suspect Arrested after Stealing and Attempting to Return MerchandiseYesterday around 6:30pm officers from District 6 responded to the Old Navy Store at 8 Allstate Rd in Dorchester. Upon arrival responding officers there spoke to Loss Prevention officers from Old Navy, who reported that the suspect entered the store with an Old Navy bag and proceeded to shoplift close to three hundred dollars worth of merchandise. The suspect then attempted to return the stolen merchandise for store credit or cash. The suspect, Teniele Johnson, 22, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Shoplifting.
Officers Initiate Investigation Resulting in a Gun Arrest
Approximately 7:19pm yesterday officers from District 2 attempted to stop a male who they believed to be carrying a weapon. After suspect was stopped, officers subsequently determined him to be in possession of a firearm and attempted to place him in custody. The suspect became violently combative and required the assistance of several other units before he could be placed under arrest and transported to the district station. The officers recovered a handgun. Suspect, Kevin Johnson, 21, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Firearm with Altered Serial Number and Unlawfully Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
Suspect Arrested in Dorchester After Soliciting Plain Clothes Officer
About 10:45pm yesterday, officers from District 11 made observations of a suspect attempting to flag down cars in the area of Kimball St. and Dorchester Ave. exited their unmarked police car to make further investigation and inquiry of the suspect. The suspect greeted and solicited the officers for sex for a fee. The suspect, Lynn Goldberg, 44, of North Quincy was arrested for Prostitution and an outstanding default warrant for Violation of Auto Laws and unpaid fines.
Intoxicated B&E Suspect Arrested After Being Found Standing Over Victim
At approximately 2:57am today, officers responded to 225 Georgetown Drive in Hyde Park for an unknown. On arrival officers met and spoke with two victims. One of the victims stated that she woke up to find the suspect standing and swaying over her bed in a drunken state. Officers based on their investigation determined that the suspect entered the apartment through one of two open windows in the rear bedrooms. According to the second victim the suspect, is known to her and her mother. The combative and intoxicated suspect, Bengy Barlatier, 23, of Hyde Park was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering.
