Last night officers from District 3 were patrolling on Morton Street toward Norfolk Street in Mattapan when they observed a motor vehicle traveling without a registration sticker attached to the vehicles plate. When the officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the operator of the vehicle began to slow and pull to the right but refused to stop. The vehicle finally came to a complete stop at 300 Norfolk Street. As the officers approached the vehicle, which was occupied by five people, they ordered the occupants to show their hands. One passenger refused and abruptly reached down to his right side. Further investigation revealed a loaded handgun wrapped in a black bandana next to this suspect. All occupants of the vehicle were removed and placed in custody.After searching one of the suspects, an officer recovered a large plastic bag, which contained 50 individually wrapped bags of crack cocaine. While three bags of marijuana were recovered from inside the vehicle. Police arrested: David Dardy, 17, of Roxbury, who is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, Trafficking Class B, Trafficking Class B within 1000’ of St. Matthew’s School; Darrion Carrington, 17, of Dorchester and Terrence Belmer, 17, of Roxbury, who are both charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, as well as Possession of Class D; and a 15-year-old and 16-year-old male, both from Dorchester, who are charged with Delinquency to wit: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition and Possession Class D.
