City Wide Drug Unit Executes Search Warrants in Dorchester

Today members of the City-Wide Drug Control Unit executed a series of Dorchester District Court Search Warrants with Patricia Brown, 37, and David Wright, 41, both of Dorchester targets of their investigation.This afternoon, officers armed with a search warrant, executed it at 31 Athelwold Street in Dorchester. Recovered at that location was a loaded firearm, a shotgun, a BB gun, close to $10,000.00 in U.S. Currency, electronic scales, as well as numerous bags of cocaine. Both Wright and Brown were both placed under arrest and transported to District 3.
An additional search warrant was executed in the rear yard of 31 Athelwold Street. Recovered and seized from that area were personal items, large plastic bags of marijuana, cocaine and crack cocaine. Police also recovered one rectangular block believed to be a kilogram of cocaine. The total amount of cocaine seized from this area was about 2200 grams.
Police also executed a search warrant at 734 Blue Hill Avenue, the Sensation Unlimited Store. Police recovered and seized various zip lock plastic bags used for packaging drugs as well as personal papers in David Wright’s name.
Also seized in this incident were three motor vehicles. A 1998 Ford Expedition, and a 1989 BMW 750 that were parked at Atholwold Street and a 2004 Chevy Avalanche being driven by Patricia Brown.
Both suspects will be arraigned in the Dorchester District Court on Monday morning and charged with: Trafficking Class B Drugs within 1000 feet of the Wendell Holmes School, Two Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
