Boston Police Incidents for April 6, 2006

Suspect Sought in Dorchester Home Invasion At 5:10am this morning officers in District 11 responded to 18 Salina Road for a Breaking and Entering in progress. According to the victim, an unknown male knocked on her door and when she opened it, he displayed a gun and demanded money. The victim was then pushed into a bedroom and the suspect took cash from atop a dresser before fleeing the apartment. No injuries reported at this time.
Time to Pay Your Fare
A man walked into District 6 in South Boston at 4:55am this morning to report that he was the victim of a fare evasion. According to the cab driver he picked up a fare on Dorchester Avenue and drove to East Second Street. The fare gave the driver a Fossil watch and $2.00 cash on a $13.45 fare and told the victim he would return shortly with the rest of the money. The victim waited for over a half an hour and the suspect never returned.
Update ..Computer Seized at Day Care Center After Obscene Material Discovered
Officers in District 13 were called to 1800 Columbus Avenue, The Dimock Smart Kids After School Program, at 6:44pm last night after a worker discovered pornographic material on a computer. The worker told police that the material was printed sometime over the weekend on April 1, 2006. Investigators from the Crimes Against Children Unit were notified and detectives seized the computer that the obscene material was located on. This images were downloaded from a web site and none of the images are of children from the Day Care Center
Suspect Arrested After Road Rage Incident
At 9:15am yesterday, officers from District 3 responded to a call for a man with a knife on American Legion Highway. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that the suspect cut him off in traffic and the two had words. According to the victim, he and the suspect pulled over near the McDonald’s on American Legion Highway and the suspect came towards him armed with a knife. The suspect, 27-year-old Lashaun Jones of Hyde Park was placed under arrest. Officers also discovered some alleged marijuana and crack cocaine in the suspect’s possession.
