This afternoon members of the Boston Police Crimes Against Children Unit, Boston Area Human Trafficking Task Force Unit, Boston Police Domestic Violence Unit, and Special Investigation Unit arrested Cory A. Renwick, 25, of Hyde Park at 925 Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton. Renwick, a registered sex offender in Florida and Massachusetts responded to that location today to meet a person he believed to be under 16-years-old for sexual purposes.Renwick had communicated on line in a chat room with a person he believed was under 16 and discussed and enticed the person to commit various sex acts. This was a prearranged undercover police sting operation coordinated by the Crimes Against Children Unit, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police. Renwick was placed transported to District 14 where he was charged with Enticement of a Child and will be arraigned in the Brighton District Court tomorrow morning.
